I’m Ariane, a.k.a Ari, Azzer, Fanny Anne & Moo (don’t ask).
I’m a 29 year old writer and blogger. I like indie films, techno, contemporary dance, Berlin, fashion zines and anything else that makes me sound cool and interesting (I really do like those things though). I also really like using brackets (in case you hadn’t noticed). I HATE pigeons. Well actually, I’m shit scared of them.
I grew up in the wilds of Somerset before moving to the big smoke at the tender age of 18, in a quest to find out what all the fuss was about. At 28 I was diagnosed with stage 4b Hodgkins Lymphoma, a rare form of blood cancer.
It was a bit of a head fuck, to say the least.
My diagnosis inspired me to start writing a blog, which was subsequently published on Refinery 29. I’ve also written for Gurls Talk and I’m in the process of writing a book about my experience with cancer.
Currently you’ll find me sunning myself in Sicily, drinking spritz, eating copious amounts of seafood pasta and speaking Italian, badly.
